In addition to a redesigned sensor with a slight increase in resolution from 14 to 16 megapixels, the camera also sports an updated BIONZ processor that specializes in suppressing color and luminance noise. Perhaps two of the most obvious changes include the addition of Picture Effects (toy camera, pop color) to the camera’s scene modes and the loss of a tiltable LCD. Eliminating the tilt/swivel LCD of the a33 and the higher end a55 (which also has GPS), while a disappointment, probably helped bring the a35’s price down.But this entry-level camera is relatively small, fast and offers a solid assortment of DSLR options—including manual and semimanual exposure modes—that serve as tools for those familiar with apertures and shutter speeds as well as a learning tool for newcomers who want to step up to more advanced features. At the same time, the a35 is beginner friendly and capable of taking really nice photos using the camera’s automatic settings.

SLT-A33 Sony Alpha digital SLR camera is a stylish, 14-megapixel resolution, HD video and display vertical tilt. The SLT-A33, with its stable of SLT-A55 represent a new type of camera. DLSRs may look conventional from the outside, and are indeed compatible with the full range of Alpha lenses, but employ a fixed semi-reflective mirrors. Sony calls “transparent” mirrors – hence the acronym for Single Lens Reflex SLT translucent instead of a lens – although it is certainly better than they describe as semi-reflective or semi-transparent.
In SLT models from Sony, a fixed semi-reflective mirror allows most light to pass through the sensor full-time live view composition, but reflects a small amount to the phase shift system AF, allowing rapid and continuous autofocus in Live View and movie modes. In fact, no traditional optical viewfinder, the SLT become 100% with direct vision cameras, allowing you to compose, whether the articulated LCD screen on the back or a detailed electronic viewfinder. This is quite revolutionary in the world of cameras.
In a traditional digital SLR, the mirror reflects light in an optical viewfinder, through an auto-focus sensor phase shift. So when you take the photo, the mirror flips up to expose the sensor temporarily in short closing the display. This works well for normal composition, but during Live View and movie modes, the mirror must remain turned up to offer a live broadcast from the sensor, which has the side effect of going through the main phase change AF system, rather than forcing the use of a much slower change based on the system. Until now, contrast systems based on digital SLRs have proved too slow to allow effective and continuous AF capabilities, ruling Live View for action photography and makes the movie modes in the affairs of manual focus .
